7 – 9.7. 2017 Klippula
A couple of dozen X4 friends participated to X4Finland 10 year anniversary party and about ten bikers did a short term visit to Klippula during the weekend.
At last we got a nice and warm summer weather after a long wait, so all participants attend to Saturday ride, too.
First we took scenery roads to Kasnäs for a lunch, then continued to Meri-Teijo Activity Park for some “downhill skiing”.
Soapbox car race was the X4 Cup competiton this year, behind this link you’ll find a short video to see how it looks like. It’s really fun, I highly recommend to try it if you have a chance!
The competition was really tight and differences between top positions were just fractions of a second.
Jukka did a reference time, however he was “a visiting half professional” so his time did not count in what comes to our X4 Cup.
The winner was Markku with a time of 55,38 seconds, the first runner up was Ahti 55,44 seconds and the third Jauhis his time was 55,83 seconds.
As usual we handed over also the longest distance prizes:
Finnish ladies – Arja 741km
Ladies, non-finns – Dajo 888km
Finnish Gentlemen – Markku 806km
Gentlemen, non-finns – Conty and Strani, both with the same reading 1930km
The favourite bike prize in turbocharged bikes was elected to go to Ahti ja in naturally aspirated bikes to Dajo.
We had also the ” Highest Consumption” prize, Strani was nominated, and “Positive” who was without any doubts Irene.
Ahti, Jari, Jukka and Saku enabled these quite special prizes (original X4 pistons and connecting rods), either by donating parts or working on them.
Chefs Leena ja Kaija introduced and refereed a pine cone animal contest, Juha was awarded. They also rewarded Ahti because of he’s taking care of meeting logistics each year.
Conty handed over a present from X4 Freunde Badisch-Sibirien, we received an email greetings for fellow X4 riders in Russia, had a delicious birthday cake, too. A really good party indeed!
