We had a very enjoyable meeting during the last weekend of June; Meeting old friends and getting acquinted with new ones, who were attending the first time.
General opinion was that it was a good party with easy and relaxed atmosphere.
There was some rain Friday evening, but when waking up Saturday morning we saw clear skies.
So we had a ride to Sysmä for some coffee and snacks, or whatever one desired at that moment.
The rest of the weekend was spent by just hanging around, in competitions, having sauna and eating well.
Few topics were raised at Saturday evening:
Cooks had again taken care of delicious meals, third year in a row.
So we handed over small souvenirs to them.
Favorite bike selection was easy; Conty was the outstanding winner, no doubt about it.
The longest distance nominations went to Christian and Toby, both had travelled 4056km.
In “Ladie’s League” Dani picked up the same prize with a distance of 4064km.
X4-cup winner was Christian, he made a big gap to others in picture-and-year identification task.
Joni was the youngest participant and was awarded, too.
Our cooks had their plan, too. They wanted to point out few persons:
Haggel, Markku and Korvis, each one received an individual presents, different reasonsing for each.
Minttusauna was steaming, and being a master of this very specialized field Markku was rewarded with a special Sauna Rider hat 🙂
X4Finland caps were first time publicly available at the site, and you may already spot them in the meeting pictures. In the evening we had a campfire, grilling, eating crayfish, and even some dancing.
On Sunday, after a plentiful breakfast, it was time to pack up, tidy the place and hit the road.
Next year we will meet in Simpele, 3-5. of July. Everyone is welcome again!
